Standards are established to provide a baseline for all aspects of our daily lives. We view events through our own perspective, which is shaped by the standards that we hold. Standards are the “North Star” of human interaction. You are invited to join educators from the Rocky Mountain region at the 2019 Colorado Council for the Social Studies annual conference, “The Pursuit of Excellence: Setting Standards in a Changing World.” This year, the focus will be on revised state standards and skills, standards for strong classroom instructional practice, for advocacy, and for leadership. These will help assure that educators are equipped to pursue excellence in their professional lives, so that our students are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue their own excellence in College, Career and Civic Life.
