National Council for Geographic Education

The National Council for Geographic Education is dedicated to recognizing educators and advocates who have made GIS Distance Learning Course

A collaboration involving the Governor's Office of Information Technology, ESRI, the Colorado Geographic Alliance, University of Denver, and Colorado 4-H is developing a GIS (Geographic Information System) distance learning program that can serve as an enhancement and introduction to GIS across a variety of classroom subjects.  Participants are needed for this project!  For more information, go to the COGA homepage athttp://www.uccs.edu/~coga/.

The Colorado Geographic Alliance and the National Council for Geographic Education (NCGE) are teaming up to support geography educators across the state with the creation of a new Alliance-Affiliated Membership. The NCGE-Alliance partnership was forged in recognition of the common goal of enhancing the status and quality of geography education, and it means more support, benefits and opportunities for you, people who are passionate about geographic education.
